Miss
Western Week / Miss Teen Western Week Concept Under the Rotary Club’s umbrella Miss Western Week Scholarship pageant is a volunteer supported, organization that preserves and promotes Beeville and Bee County. Miss Western Week Scholarship pageant provides a quality pageant, maintaining an environment where contestants, participants and committee members will be enriched by the experience of the pageant. Mission Statement Miss Western Week Scholarship Pageant is founded on the principle that the future is dependent upon the leadership qualities of today’s youth. We believe that involvement in community service should be both encouraged and rewarded. We further believe that in order to become a strong leader a young woman must be a well-rounded individual. She must challenge herself scholastically, she must be poised, and she must be comfortable with herself. Each participant must possess a strong desire to effect a change in her world, and to set an example for others to do the same. Participants are given an opportunity to grow and advance their personal and career goals while acting as a role model in the community. In the spirit of competition, she must be gracious, with this in mind, we provide the forum for young women to challenge themselves to do their best, and we reward them for their efforts providing scholarships for educational opportunities. Vision Miss Western Week Scholarship Pageant to be recognized as one of the best tools for any young girl in Bee County. For Miss Western Week Scholarship Pageant to contribute to a hopeful future by speaking ability, community involvement, self awareness, and gain confidence that will assist helping these individuals develop and refine personal attributes such as self-esteem, which will carry these young girls throughout their lives.
Princess Mission Statement As a little girl that dares to dream of being a princess, to dream of becoming a great young woman. Miss Western Week Scholarship Pageant allows each princess to get involved in the community, shadowing Miss Western Week and Miss Teen Western Week. Each girl receives not only a crown and sash, but she will receive the experience that will continue to make her grow as an individual for the years to come. The Miss Western Week Princesses Program recognizes and celebrates young women for scholastic achievement, personal accomplishments, healthy living and community involvement. It also promotes titleholders with the Magic of Mentoring these young girls. The Miss Western Week Princess Program is for young ladies 1st grade – 5th grade. The purpose of this program is to mentor those young ladies who have an interest in someday competing in the Miss Western Week Scholarship Pageant and promoting community service. The current Miss Western Week Scholarship Pageant local title holders will serve as mentors to the Princesses! The Princess will participate and be encouraged to attend assemblies and meetings where the local title holder will speak and / or perform. Princesses are involved in many activities that will make her feel a part of Miss Western Week and Teen Western Week’s year.
